BROOKLYN LEA
Based in Brisbane | Gold Coast | Sunshine Coast | Ipswich, I’m Brooklyn Lea, an Australian indie-pop artist creating intimate, story-driven music with velvet-toned vocals at its core.
I’ve been writing songs since I was 11, shaping a sound influenced by the emotional honesty of Phoebe Bridgers, the warmth of Olivia Dean, and the vulnerability of Lizzy McAlpine. I hold a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance and songwriting from the University of Southern Queensland, and my work is rooted in connection — both lyrically and live.
In 2021, I was honoured to perform at the state funeral of MP Duncan Pegg at The Gabba, singing before thousands, and later at the opening of the performing arts centre dedicated in his name.
Live, my performances are intimate, immersive, and quietly powerful. Whether I’m performing at live gigs, weddings, or special events, I tailor each set to suit the space and the moment — from heartfelt ceremony songs to relaxed cocktail-hour sets, solo performances, duo shows, or full-band experiences. My goal is always the same: to create a warm, unforgettable atmosphere that feels personal and true
